In my role, I consult patients within the surgery, assess their condition and plan their care. I am able to request blood tests and prescribe medication. Within my job, I often refer patients on to other specialist teams in secondary care in hospital. On a daily basis, I primarily see acute problems. I have worked as a nurse for over 25 years in different hospitals, in the community and in numerous GP surgeries. I spent 17 years working within Critical Care.
